Young People’s Development Programme

Young People’s Development Programme (YPDP) is an English adaptation of the Carrera Program which was successful in reducing the teenage pregnancy rate in New York City. But a recent trial in England, using non-experimental methods, suggested an association with increased pregnancy and other negative outcomes.

The program consists of components such as education, life skills training, mentoring and volunteering. These are augmented with health, sex and drugs awareness sessions, as well as art and sports activities.
