The UK Social Exclusion Task Force Families at Risk review focuses on the 140,000 families whose indications of social exclusion include:
- living in a workless household
- living in bad housing
- parents having no qualifications
- mother having mental health problems
- family income below the 60% median
The Review, which began in March 2007, examines how well services for socially excluded families are integrated and is taking a 'whole family' approach. It is also considering the roles parents themselves can play in solving problems for themselves.
