Iowa Strengthening Families Project (ISFP), is a universal, family-based intervention designed to inhibit the onset of adolescent alcohol and substance use by improving family practices. The activity it promotes is designed to improve the quality of parent-child relationships and enhance conflict management skills and children's peer refusal skills. Intended for children and young people between the ages of ten and 14, the program was designed by Virginia Molgaard at Iowa State University’s Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute. It has been shown to be effective by a number of experimental evaluations and is a Blueprints Model Program.
