Family Check-Up

The Family Check-Up is rapid, comprehensive family assessment devised by the Child and Family Center at the University of Oregon in the US. It typically includes a home visit, observations of family interactions, interviews with family members and a school assessment. The process is inclusive; it provides the family with feedback and builds in their own assessment of needs and service options. The Family Check-up is linked to a series of brief interventions shown by experimental evaluation to benefit parental behavior.
