Child Advocacy Centers

Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) are child-friendly houses or buildings where US criminal investigations into child sexual abuse occur. They were announced as a concept in 1984 by Bud Cramer (Huntsville, Alabama District Attorney) with two main goals; to improve the number of successful criminal prosecutions of child sexual abuse and to conduct more child-friendly criminal investigations into child sexual abuse.
