Carrera Program

Developed by the Children’s Aid Society, Carrera is a youth development program that has been shown to reduce teenage pregnancy in New York City. However, replications elsewhere in the US and in the UK have failed to show the same benefits. It was originated by Dr Michael A. Carrera, Thomas Hunter Professor Emeritus of Health Sciences at Hunter College, the City University, New York.
