Cochrane Collaboration

The Cochrane Collaboration [1] is an independent international organization, dedicated to making accurate information about the effects of healthcare widely available. It produces and disseminates systematic reviews of interventions and promotes rigorous evaluation of prevention, early intervention and treatment programs. Founded in 1993, the organization is named after the British epidemiologist, Archie Cochrane. The major product is a database of systematic reviews.
