Richard Catalano is Director of the Social Development Research Group at the University of Washington, which he founded with David Hawkins. Like Hawkins he has studied the causes of anti-social behaviour and promoted strategies, such as Communities that Care and the Raising Health Children program, that promote positive youth development and prevent of problem behaviors
