Robert McCall is professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh and co-director of the Office of Child Development, where he is responsible for coordinating collaborative projects between University faculty and human service professionals in the Pittsburgh area.
Since its inception in 1986, the Office has played a crucial role in planning, funding, implementing, managing, and assisting more than $150 million in grants for research, training, evaluation, policy, and demonstration intervention projects to the University and agencies in Western Pennsylvania.
As well as being a prolific academic writer and commentator, McCall has had a distinguished career as a journalist and broadcaster. For example, he was co-producer and writer of "Science for Families," an award winning series of 20 short news features on children, youth, and families distributed gratis to commercial TV stations across the US for presentation on local news.
