Dean L Fixsen is a senior scientist at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina. With Karen Blase he co-directs the National Implementation Research Network and State Implementation and State Implementation and Scaling up Evidence-based Practices (SISEP) Center for the US Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). His research interest is in the implementation and development of evidence-based programs. His insights into the critical dimensions associated with national implementation of evidence-based programs resulted in him leading a major review and synthesis of the implementation literature.
