The 2007 Fall Research Conference of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) will occur in Washington, DC, from 8-10 November. The theme of the conference is: What Else Shapes Public Policy Analysis and Management?

APPAM's Annual Fall Research Conference is a gathering of leaders within the policy analysis and management field. It has become the preeminent venue for the presentation and discussion of applied public policy research, attracting more than 1000 participants for over 150 sessions across three days of meetings each year. The Program Committee will organize an agenda that spans the interests and background of APPAM members across all issues areas and methodologies. This year the conference will be held in Washington and looks to capitalize on the momentum of recent conferences where APPAM has experienced a record number of attendees and participation on the 150+ sessions. Noteworthy highlights of the 2007 conference will include the Spencer Foundation Lecture in Education Policy and Management, the Public Management Executive Roundtable, the concurrent plenaries, the Presidential Address, the Poster Session Luncheon, and the many special receptions.

APPAM especially is seeking increased conference participation from among policymakers at all levels of government and other practitioners who are directly involved in the areas of emphasis within the Fall Research Conference. APPAM is committed to including a diversity of perspectives on all sessions.
