21st National Prevention Network research conference

1st Annual Prevention Research Conference, August 24-27, 2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The theme for this year’s conference is “Prevention Research: Driving Successful Outcomes.”

You will gain knowledge from nationally recognized researchers (in the US) and practitioners who are using research to drive successful outcomes for prevention programming. You will also have the opportunity to network with leaders from federal agencies supporting prevention in the US, including SAMHSA/CSAP, ONDCP, NIDA, NIAAA, OJJDP, and USDE as well as prevention professionals from around the country.

It has something for everyone. There are presentations on Underage Drinking, Prescription Drugs, Social Marketing, Public Policy, Frontier/Rural, Cultural/Ethnicity, and Alcohol Industry Advertising. Registration is anticipated to be as high as 1,000 people, so early registration is advised.
